Men/women's retreat
Saturday April 12 was the men and women's retreat days for our Umass students. The men headed to breakfast at a local sugar shack and then off to pray at the haystack revival monument. Isaac got to join them and loved it!
Meanwhile four women students headed east to Worcester to our good friend Anika and Nathan Smith's house for the day. They showed such hospitality to our group! Anika led us through time in the word and served delicious food. We tried to teach cross stitch but it was probably a bit too ambitious for such a short time. And we got to head outside for a hike in the beautiful weather!!! We had lovely time together.
Samuel 7 months
Yesterday Samuel turned 7 months old. He is closer to one than not and looks like he could already be one in size! He cut two teeth this month- the bottom two front ones. More may have more on the way. He loves to eat! He has had pears, apples, peaches, peas, bananas, babymums, avocado and more. He can sit up pretty well on his own. He wants to stand but can't just yet. He still doesn't get much tummy time- and when he does, he usually rolls over. Still doesn't sleep through the night but is maybe sleeping for longer stretches. Might just be my wishful thinking:) He has started sharing a room with his siblings though! He smiles often and is generally a very happy baby. We love him!

My little brother got married!!!
On Saturday my brother tied the knot, I got a wonderful sister in law and my daughter was a beautiful flower girl. I didn't take many photos on my phone but there will be plenty on Facebook I am sure if you are interested. Liz and I celebrated with Jocelyn Thursday night with bowling and dinner. Sam joined my mom and me for pretty nails Friday morning. Friday night was the practice run which we were smart enough to get childcare for the boys for. And Saturday was the big day. It was a sunny, chilly day but the bride and groom smiled the whole day! Olivia did great- dancing the night away even! Sam and Isaac mostly slept after the ceremony and pictures. Sunday Olivia slept till almost ten! And Nate finally got to see frozen. We are all slowly recovering as we return to "normal" life around here. Congrats Matt and Jocelyn!!!

On the way to the wedding the kids playing with teddy and puppy- so excited!

The morning after...

At the rehersal dinner with the groom.

Maine
Last Monday we headed out early on snowy and icey roads for a week long adventure. Out first stop was Bolton to drop Olivia off with her nana and papa. She spent most of the week with them- playing, reading, walking and even seeing family- aunt Linda and aunt Laura and cousin drew. She had a blast but was soooo excited to see us all Thursday afternoon.
Next stop for the boys and me was oguinquit ME for our regional navigator meetings. Last year two other moms came and we played while the meetings were going on and just joined I for dinner and lunch. This year those moms and kiddos weren't able to make it but they provided a babysitter for my boys and I was able to sit in on most of the meetings. It's still difficult to juggle boys and naps and meetings- constantly switching gears but it was wonderful to be included and get a glimpse of what is going on regionally. We took many walks on the marginal way and ate lots of great food too.
And Wednesday afternoon I snuck away with just Sam to see my grandparents who love in Maine. It was good to see them for a bit.
Then we headed off to the wedding festivities!!!
He has a lovey that helps him sleep!!! So sweet- I love it!!!

Meetings!!! Isaac is in Nate's lap here:)

Eating and Walking
Sam has two teeth and has started eating lots of "real" food. He may love the spoons as much as the good though. Smiles while eating yesterday.

While Nate was away I took the boys for a walk and Isaac didn't fall asleep- he was just happy to go! So yeaterday we went for a walk and this happened... We had to pick Olivia up during nap time anyways so it was just a long afternoon...

Today I wanted to try again and this was at the beginning with Isaac pretending to be asleep. Later he fell asleep for real and didnt transfer to bed so we will see how the rest of the day is.

Before he feel asleep though we got a view of this constriction site in action! Solar panels being installed which we have noticed all over MA- what's going on with that?
