No Cancer!

I just talked to the nurse who said all the tests came back clean!!!!!  No thyroid cancer and no lymphoma!!!!  I have an appointment next Tuesday where I will ask some more questions- especially why did I need this test in the first place then?!  But for now the only thing I can figure is that the FNA biopsy sample was SO small he just couldn't say for sure it was healthy/not healthy.  And because of that I needed to followup to be sure I am OK.  But from the looks of it, I AM!!!!  I am so happy and so emotional- I said to the nurse who I talked to "really?!"    We praise God for good health - thank you Lord!

And to back up- the procedure went really well last Wednesday.  She took out two nodes on my left neck, just below my ear.  I was really out of it that day, but was feeling ok by Thursday.  Nate's parents and Rhiannon and my Mom all came to help out through Friday which we are so thankful for.  And we have been spending lots of time just chilling, watching the Olympics :)

Thank you SO much for everyone's prayers!!!  God has answered yes this time:)

And just because, here are some fun recent photos...

Impromptu pool party on the back deck with our neighbors and friends- which include 3 two year olds- so cute to watch them as they figure out how to interact with each other

This big guy continues to be a joy and his latest trick is rolling over all on his own!

Health Update for Caroline

So after seeing a few doctors locally, I am going to have my neck biopsied this Wednesday July 25th around 11 am.  My lymph nodes have not grown, nor have they shrunk so hopefully this biopsy will tell us what is going on, hopefully nothing!  Please pray for a few things:

*the test is conclusive for something!  I do not want to need another biopsy.
*that I can pump enough milk for Isaac while I cant nurse, and that he returns well to nursing afterwards
*for a swift recovery!  This is a day surgery so I am not expecting it to be major, but you never know.

I will try to let you know when I know something- probably a few days to a week afterwards.

Thank you for your prayers!

Sandy Cove Vaca 2012

Late last night we got back from Sandy Cove in North East MD.  You can check out their website here:  www.sandycove.org  My family has had a long relationship with Sandy Cove- we first attended when my sister was two.  You can see her below with my two year old daughter.  The place holds many memories and this week was no different in creating new ones.  I exercised, with my sister in a Body and Soul class, ran by myself, and even kyacked two miles with Nate (we didn't know if we could do it, but we did!)  We ate a TON of great food!  Heard from amazing speakers and saw wonderful theater.  Nate and I connected while our kids were favorites among the childcare staff known as "Club Crib" for them.  We even got to connect with a few friends on the way and on the way home and while we were there.  Now I just need to figure out how to get us there next year...  Yea for family vacations!

Aunt Liz and Olivia enjoyed ice cream sundaes our first night

Canaan

Isaac made himself at home during his first visit to Canaan

Olivia enjoyed the lake with Aunt Nicole and Aunt Liz- Thanks for the float!

The whole gang

4 Generations!  3 from when they were babies!

Back at home again, just hanging out:)  I love them!

Biscuits!

A few Fridays back Olivia said she would like peanut butter and jelly for lunch.  We didnt have any bread.  Isaac was asleep so she helped me make biscuits!  We made hearts, stars, and an "O" you can see in the pic.  More of a PB and J dip lunch:)

Puffers Pond

A new favorite place to visit in Amherst is Puffers Pond- a local large pond to swim and play in.  We have gone as a family a few Saturday Mornings.  Olivia loves to play in the sand and Isaac takes in the sun coming through the trees.

Four Months Old

Isaac weighs in at 17 pounds and 26 inches!!!  And seems healthy in every way:)  He is a great sleeper and continues to nurse well.  He adored by his big sister.  We are very thankful for this big guy and his smiles!

This is my latest favorite photo of  the big dude, such a fun expression!

And he loves sticking out his little tongue!  and has just started loving being straight up instead of laying down.
